THE LABRADOR RETRIEVER…America’s most popular dog, and for good reason. Known to be gentle, trusting and even-tempered, we fell in love with the perfect breed for our growing family. In 2004 we brought home our first English style Labrador, introduced him to the farm, and never looked back! Living on a small hobby farm and raising a variety of other animals, we began a several year process of learning the difference between a well bred animal and a poorly bred animal. Over the years, combining knowledge and gaining experience raising other show animals, a foundation was established for how we do things at Grand River Labradors.
Curious about that foundation and wondering what makes us different? Not only are we small and personal, we’re also committed to making sure any breeding pair is selected with the AKC breed standard in mind. Our goal is better…not only with structure, health and temperament, but also in how we treat our families.
